I asked a coworker in passing if he was watching Game of Thrones. He went on a rant about not having HBO and not wanting HBO and not wasting his money on HBO. He sounded old and bitter to my ear…and I’m old. I don’t understand hating something that you don’t have and have never had, and being extra proud of not having it. ---

Fabric softener, aftershave, deodorant, cologne, (the theme here is anything with a scent). I have skin allergies to most scents and to the chemical binder/release agents used in these products. My ex wife once tried a “hypoallergenic” fabric softener on our sheets, which resulted in sores the size of quarters on my back and side. I use very basic soaps and baby shampoo to stay clean and shower often. I live in dread fear of scented toilet paper…(A much rarer thing than it used to be). I don’t watch TV (less than 1-2 hours a month, anyway) - which is odd as I work for a major media co. ---

Remembered that I also don’t wear perfume. I can’t smell it, so I wouldn’t know if I liked it. ---
