**Cartooniverse** sent me a email about fruit candy a while back during Passover. I think year before last. It just made my day; I was having a kind of rough time being away from my family and other personal problems, and it just picked me up. Also, when I miscarried, I got a \*lot \* of incredibly nice “Thinking of You” emails from a lot of dopers. I couldn’t begin to list everyone, as it’s been so long, but thank you all so much. I’m not a real frequent poster, so it really meant a lot that near perfect strangers took time out of their days to just say “Hi.” ---

I’ll try and “keep it limited to those not yet aware” too as an unmentionably large number of you are already aware of just how highly I regard you, through interactions here, via email, fests, etc. In addition to most everyone listed above, thanks, **Ellis Dee** for your analysis of all things NFL, **fishbibycle** and **pulykamell** for musical knowledge and insight. Also, I don’t know what it is about you “S” guys but be it **Sam Stone, Sampiro, Shodan, Scylla, Sentient, Skip** or whoever, I can usually count on it being good. How could I forget **gum**? DUTCH DOPERS ARE THE BESTEST! I have to put in my two cents for **Aes** , too, really cool guy that he is. And also, a majority of the people on the boards. This place is a lot of fun and I do love coming here and couldn’t stay away if I tried. ---

Jeez, the list goes on and on. But some of the Dopers I seek out when they post: **Inigo Rue Tripler Johnny L.A. Bricker Bosda Miller** **Tuckerfan** for the tech. alerts. All the Left Coast crew, for their aid in the never-ending battle against all that is…elsewhere: **Maureen, Shayna, rjung, Road Runner, Yeticus Rex** , and the rest The _Buffy_ folks, and all the usual suspects in the _BSG_ and _Firefly_ threads **Hal** - for the sheep **Stonebow** - for giving the world the **18"DHIBJD** I could do this list for hours. You all mean something to me, even if I forget your name this moment. ---

Another liberal here to add my voice to the chorus of appreciation for our friendly and well-informed conservatives. I don’t do a lot of posting in political debates, but I read 'em, and you guys keep me learning things. Not agreeing with you, mind you! But learning. **Broomstick** – for writing wonderful accounts of her piloting, that make me feel almost like I’m there. **Sampiro** , **Dante** (you’re still around, I hope!), **King of Soup** and (as mentioned earlier, the much missed) **Master Wang-ka** – for some of the side-splittingly funniest things I have read here or elsewhere. The SDMB Poker gang: **xray** for getting it started, **Gangster Octopus** for keeping our weekly standings going, **Yeticus Rex** for always getting the night’s results posted, and everybody else who’s made playing for peanuts something I look forward to every week – **MissTake** , **Oslo Ostragoth** , **asterion** , **CapnPitt** , **Nanook** , **Dag Otto** , **Only Mostly Dead** , **kyyrewyyoae** , **Robot Arm** , **elucidator** , and of course the **Duke of Rat**. The folks I notice time and again, just livening the joint up: **twickster ShirleyUJest EddyTeddyFreddy** … and more really than I can mention in this category. And the marvelous moderators mentioned earlier as well, **Giraffe** , **SkipMagic** , **samclem** , and **tomndebb** ---
