What exactly happened in the House today?

Nah, Ronnie Earl bent the rules to get DeLay: Texas court refuses to reinstate DeLay charge
Which, according to your own cite still leaves the money laundering charges. And am I missing something, or is he no longer in the House? And what does any of this have to do with congressional rules, anyway?
Likewise, being anal about the rules is good when it supports the Republicans racist agenda, huh?
It’s not being anal to recognize the difference between breaking and not breaking the rules. And I have no idea what “racist agenda” you’re talking about.

“The minority” will be the Democrats again at some point. And “slight extension” isn’t a very good euphemism for “breaking”.

Possibly, but irrelevant. This isn’t a legal issue, but a parliamentary one.

Eh. They’re the minority party, which pretty much means it’s their job to whine. This isn’t the first time in history that power has shifted from one party to the other, you know. And it won’t be the last.
