All that much easier to subvert from within.
I just want to state for the record that there were a few of us females in the AV club. 
Sure fire way to not get dates though. Surrounding yourself with nerdy, shy guys gets you a lot of guy friends, but very few romantic suitors.
Well, movies of course don’t QUITE reflect reality! But if I recall correctly from the distant mists of time, if you were in AV Club you spent one period (or more, depending on study halls and free periods and lunch) a day in the AV Command Center in the library to handle whatever media requests were scheduled for that period. Then you went to math, or chemistry and some other AV kids came in for the next period.
