Okay, I just received what I am pretty sure is my first thread ban. It was an IMHO thread asking for advice on accupuncture. Dude I don’t care. I am not an accupuncturist salesman. I have no dog in this hunt. I was asked if I had any experience with accupuncture and I answered with respects to my limited experience. That’s it. Try it, don’t try it. It makes no difference to me. I don’t plan on responding any further to this subject. Have a good day. ---

Serious question- Again, I have been posting here for since 2000. I would very much like to continue to post here. I genuinely intend to avoid any further Mod Notes or Thread Bans. To that end, when exactly did I go too far? Other than simply reporting a post to the mods and not responding, what should I have done? Obviously, if the only thing I can do under such circumstances is report the post and keep my mouth shut, I will try my best. As you may have noticed by now, keeping my mouth shut is not my stongest suit. ---

It was a thread ban and not a warning. Unless you suddenly make a habit of collecting thread bans, this is a non-issue. I’m trying to handle a different board issue right now. I hate to say it, but I don’t have a great answer for you. It falls under I know when I see it. ---

Okay. Thanks. Again (this almost certainly falls under stuff I feel the need to say even though everybody already knows it) I am not asking so that I can tiptoe up to the line, do an interpretive dance, and then remind everybody I have not actually broken a rule. I have no intention of continuing this discussion beyond repeating what I already said. I experienced some temporary pain relief using accupuncture. I was a paratrooper in the US Army and I now suffer from chronic pain as a result. I was referred to the place by my fellow vets, I decided to give it a shot, and I was able to do the essential functions of my civilian jobs for a few days. That’s the entirity of my experience. I made no comments on the effectiveness of accupuncture beyond my own personal experience. ---
