# What fact is most obvious to you that you hear frequently denied?

Some things I often hear quoted as fact but which are demonstrably wrong include:

1. You can’t prove a negative (Oh yes you [can](http://departments.bloomu.edu/philosophy/pages/content/hales/articles/proveanegative.html))
2. Republicans improve the deficit, Democrats make it worse. (See [here](http://zfacts.com/p/318.html), to see otherwise)
