The Donald Trump I heard about 30 something years ago seems to have pretty much the same personality as the President Trump I see today. Many people asserted that this would doom his campaign. But it didn’t. This reinforced his mindset that “the real Donald Trump” was what the people want, and that those who tell him not to do what comes naturally to him are the ones who don’t know what they’re talking about. ---
