OK, let’s just accept as given that almost ALL scenes involving gorgeous actresses (and, OK, actors if you’re into that sort of thing) would be better if the actress in question was nude. Or naked. But there are some scenes whose dramatic value would be enhanced with more nudity. For example, Sigourney Weaver feels that the final scene in “Alien” would have been better if she had been nude during it. In an interview after the film’s release she said she was ready to doff her panties and bra and do the whole thing el buffo because she felt it would have heightened the dramatic tension to see her totally naked and apparently helpless while the Alien uncoiled itself inside her escape pod. I agree. It would have been a MUCH better scene. But the producers nixed it because of concerns over foreign distribution. (Sigh. We’ll all be watching movies starring women dressed in burkhas throughout if we dont’ watch out.) What other scenes are there that would have been better naked. And I mean better better, not snarky-better. You may maintain with your dying breath that the scene of the von Trapp family singing “Sound of Music” in the hills would have been better if they were all naked. I will not believe you. Still, this is a topic that invites snarkiness, and I am willing to tolerate it – if it’s REALLY funny. 😛 ---

Almost immediately after she was recreated, though, they covered the naughty bits with “thermal bandanges.” Everyone was upset. ---

All of the scenes in all those movies in which the woman after having sex sits up with the sheets pulled up over her breasts. This is always so phony that it takes me out of the picture immediately. ---

Any scene where a couple is having sex, or obviously just finished having sex and managed to keep their clothes on (e.g., in one of the last episodes of Enterprise, Evil Archer and Evil Hoshi are going at it and break apart for some meaningful dialogue (no laughing, you!) after a few minutes, Hoshi jumps out of bed and she’s _completely clothed!_ Archer is, too, but he’s not drawing my attention here). ---

Not a tv/film scene as such, but I do think the Olympics would be much better if all the competitors were naked. ---

Geena Davis’ screen debut in Tootsie. I always thought Micheal/Dorothy’s unease around Geena’s bra-and-pantied body was a bit overdone. I’d have bought the unease a bit more if Geena had been topless. ---

While I’m sure there are exceptions, certainly in my experience after having _sex_ where both of us are nude, the woman in question isn’t the least bit shy about incidentally revealing her breasts aftewards. The only time I could think of where this is appropriate is if two people are walked in on while in the act, then they’d possibly try to cover up. ---

Any and all of the Brady Bunch–the adults, NOT the kids (unless it was the later seasons…). the Walton’s as a nudist colony–now that would be some mountain! My 3 Sons–all except Uncle Charlie-uh, no thanks. Sanford and Son (want to be PC, dontcha know!) Of course Charlie’s Angels for the guys–6 Million Dollar Man for the women–and let’s make more of him “bionic”, shall we? And lastly, Jeopardy Striptease–makes Double Jeopardy that much more exciting! 😃 ---
