Whenever I watch _Bones_ I always comment that Bones should run into House somewhere. Also, stemming exclusively from the DVDs I’ve been watching lately: I’d like to see Adam Pierson meet Gregory House. I’d also like to see a meeting between Duncan MacLeod of the Clan MacLeod and Val Con yos’Phelium, Clan Korval (okay, that one’s also partially from the books I’ve been reading; they haven’t turned that into a TV show or movie yet _sigh_). And I’d like to watch from afar when Martin Riggs meets John McClane. That’ll bring about some nice explodey-ness. ---

[/QUOTE] I can’t help but think that each would recognize the professionalism and humane instincts of the other. Probably not the beginnings of a friendship but certainly some level of professional respect and appreciation of the others talents and experience. The contrast between Jack’s hail-fellow-well-met personality and Hornblower’s guardedness could cause some awkward moments. I doubt that the authors would like each other at all. ---
