I’m pretty sure I’ve made this list a few times on here.

Dill
Pickles or anything pickled
Ketchup
Mayo or any sauce that’s made with mayo or is similar to mayo
Mustard
Olives - all
Seafood
Raw onions - I like fried or if cooked in a soup, casserole, etc.
Green peppers
Acai berries - WORST berry ever
Mountain Dew or similar pops
Coffee - love the smell, not the taste
Salad dressings - I’ll eat Italian but still not a big fan
Sports drinks - taste like cough syrup
Caraway & fennel seeds
Organ meats
Mushrooms - they add no flavor, just a sliminess
Pizza with loads of toppings - just give me pepperoni and cheese
Tomato soup

I could probably come up with a million more, but these are the basics

I don’t eat spicy food. My IBS won’t allow it.

I don’t eat mushrooms. I dislike the texture. They’re easy to pick out before I eat.

Bell peppers give me horrific indigestion. You won’t find a bell pepper in my kitchen.

No fish. I was forced to eat fishsticks in school and _hated_ them.

I do like vegetables, broccoli, spinach, greens, garden peas (purple hull, black eyed). Love corn but it tears up my stomach. I can only eat a spoonful of cream corn without risking a problem. I think it’s the fiber.

Just thought of a flavor I can’t stand. I’m sure it’s a preservative, as it’s most often found in shelf-stable liquids.

An easy example is those freezer pops that come in the long plastic tubes. They have a terrible aftertaste that the ones from the freezer section don’t have. The same flavor is also found in those Little Hugs fruit-flavored drinks (the little plastic foil-capped bottles), some boxed juice drinks, and most strongly in those Nik-L-Nip wax bottle mini drinks thingies. I also taste a similar flavor in the biscuits and rolls that come in the cardboard tubes.

As a kid, I remember being disappointed when I first got some boxed drinks, those freezer pops, and the plastic bottle drinks. They were awful. The biscuits were always a let down. At least the cinnamon rolls from the can had the frosting that covered up the icky taste a good bit!

Anything banana-flavored. I like bananas themselves just fine.

Yep, this right here. I am famous for my disdain of anything banana-flavored except actual bananas.

The flavors are still there. Sure, some very hot salsa is just crap and tastes like extra hot crap.

But good habanero salsa is really, really good. Imagine eating napalm which tastes like the best salsa you’ve ever eaten and you’ll be in the ballpark.

I don’t have a large list of dislikes, but I join with the other posters who do not like anise. Never cared for licorice, and when I was old enough to sample it, absinthe was equally yuck. Fennel sometimes get a pass.

I dislike the flavor of habaneros/ghost peppers/etc. I don’t mind the heat, just the flavor. I love any other hot (or mild) pepper.

Can’t stand the ersatz peach/mango flavor that they use in bubble tea or frozen yogurts. I can still taste it hours later.

Weird one: Watercress. It’s one of the few foods I just can’t stand. I love cilantro and have no issue with pretty much any other vegetable.

Artificial maple flavor is nasty to me, too. Real maple, I love. There’s a big difference.

Goddamn broccoli. Smells like a dirty diaper and tastes even worse.
I hate it so bad that I’ve coined the word “Broc” to describe anything I find overly objectionable. i.e. _“that show was totally broc!”_

Then there are these dicks that will say “you just don’t like vegetables.” No, I love most vegetables. But broccoli tastes like it was soaked in weed killer and coyote piss and wouldn’t die so they served it any way.

When I order things like stir fry in a restaurant I check to see if there is any broccoli in it or if I can get it without broccoli. I don’t even want that shit touching my other food. Even when removed from my plate I can still taste it. I HATE IT, I HATE IT, I FUCKING HATE IT!

Have I mentioned that I don’t care much for broccoli?

Blurgh indeed, I was given a bag of kelp chips as a substitute for potato chips one time. They had a flavor alright, not a good one. I’ve had dishes that included kelp, otoh, where the flavor is much subdued by the other ingredients, so in conjuction with other things, eh…

I think similar to the OP dislike of hazelnut coffee (which I share), I can’t stand walking by a Cinnabon. It is like breathing in sugar.

I genuinely enjoy most of the items that are loathed by others in this thread (I’ve only had haggis once and it was delicious; for all I know it was an atypical batch), but hazelnut coffee makes me want to puke.

Also, bleu cheese, especially when combined with pears. In one grim culinary week, I visited two different friends who made the same broiled pear and bleu cheese dessert (it must have just been featured in a cooking show they both watched, or something). The combination of the lukewarm, grainy pear with the funky bleu cheese was nauseating.

I choked it down with a weak smile both times, but it was a good reminder for me that if you truly dislike something, it’s a heroic effort to force it down. I raised my son, who isn’t picky exactly but who dislikes far more foods than I do, with the philosophy, “hey, you don’t have to like every food you try, but you do have to be able to eat at least a little bit of most things, so that you can be a polite guest if your host serves you something you don’t care for.”

Hah. My own words came flying home to roost.

Beer. I drank much in my youth, but only socially. Even though I drank it to excess more than a few times, I never acquired a taste for it at all. I can’t even imagine kicking back with a cold one and savoring the taste. I wonder if it could be genetic, like the cilantro/soap thing.

Tea smells (and tastes) disgusting to me. (On the other hand, I liked the smell of coffee even when I didn’t drink it.)

I hate Buffalo sauce. Not because of the hotness (there are other spicy things I like) but because of the flavor.
