Having loved the movie, I’m thinking about putting together a “Snakes on a Plane” Party: Go see the movie, then come back to my place for food. Other than serving real snake (me, the vegetarian), what would be some good recipes? ---

Can you get tiny airplane-sized bags of peanuts, pretzels, etc? Maybe Red Bull, which was featured prominently in product placement scenes? How about a Jell-O mold with gummi snakes inside? ---

Definitely gummi snakes. How about serving something in paper bags, like the airplane barf bags? Except the only thing to put in there might be popcorn, which everyone might have eaten at the theatre… ---

As I mentioned in another SOAP thread I just made a birthday cake for a ball python. But someone else also had a neat cake idea. Take three bundt cakes, cut then into half circles, and place on a large display sheet so that they “squggle around” ( ) ( ) ( ) You get the idea. Frost them over so it looks like one cake, using whatever color or pattern you want. Almond slivers would make good fangs, and black gumdrops or jelly beans would serve for eyes. ---

May I suggest eels? Also, maybe you could have the guests go through “security” before entering the party, as sort of an icebreaker. Ask them to remove shoes, belts, and random items of clothing. ---

Oh, go ahead, buy some rattlesnake bits, it’s not like it’s an endangered species. Can’t hike anywhere in Georgia without almost stepping on them. Then serve then on plain crackers. “Snakes on Plain.” Mmmmm. ---
