Spanish in 8th grade; Russian in 10th - 12th grades (got through 4 years’ worth by also studying one summer); Russian again briefly in college; German briefly in college; Japanese in college. ---

A college dorm mate across the hall and I picked up a book on Swahili. We gave it up after 2 weeks because the dorm Grrrls thought we were talking about them, and rightly so… ---

You could never forget her, and probably wouldn’t want to. 🙂 ---
