I’d just go with cash too, I think. A nice country place with acreage and space for animals would be great - but on my income I couldn’t afford the upkeep, taxes and what-not. So if I got the country place, I’d either need to also have enough money to maintain my new country lifestyle. Or I guess I could sell the nice country place, then I’d have some extra money. 🙂 Failing that - some work on my little old existing house. It needs a new roof come spring, so at the same time I’d like the large back deck roofed and partially enclosed. Throw in a nice covered front porch, like a little veranda, that would be great. Oh, and replace my worn old wood floors with new wood and tile, and wait, new kitchen cabinets and counters would be nice too. So being realistic: A complete makeover on my existing house. ---

I’d like enough money to pay my debts in full, have some savings beyond our 401k, and take a nice vacation. If my benefactor felt more generous, there’s a specific piece of land just outside of downtown Savannah, with beautiful live oak trees that I’m mad for, that I’d like to own so that I could enjoy a couple of picnics, and then donate it to a conservancy. It’s very beautiful, and right in the middle of a bunch of industrial sites, and I’m always a little fearful that some schmuck will cut the trees for another gas station or factory or railroad crossing. ---

[FONT=Trebuchet MS]The Oprah Winfrey show did a feature on “Million Dollar Ideas” in 2006 and one of the ideas was the 64-color Crayola box that she remembered having as a child. In preparation for the show, Crayola made up a special crayon color called [COLOR=purple]the color purple[/COLOR] and had Oprah’s first name signature on the wrapper as well. They put 64 of the special crayons into a No 64 box and had the great granddaughter of Edward Binney present her with the gift. The color were never sold. I have crayons from the late 1800’s when crayons were first made up the latest. There are 6 colors that are the holy grail for collectors of Crayola crayons, pink beige, light blue, gamboge yellow, mirtilla blueberry, the very hungry caterpillar green and the color purple.
