I empathized with the Freezer Queen employees as I was just chased by a roach by a curb at work this morning. It was trying to run up our shoes while we tried to swat it. This things are so fast and also gross.

When I was little, my dad would often feed me Swanson roast beef TV dinners. I never cared for them, since the meat was always dry and chewy. I liked the roast turkey and fried chicken TV dinners much more, but they were never as good as homemade.
I’ve always liked SOS, which he often served me as well. I don’t remember how he cooked it in the days before microwave ovens, but it tasted fine. I thought of it as true Army food and asked him once why GIs didn’t like it. He said “It’s fine if you have it once in a while, but not every day.”

I remember the Banquet boil-bags with roast beef and brown gravy. We served it on toast. Open face sandwiches are very good.
I bought a seal a meal gadget and boil bags. Left over Sunday roast was sliced, frozen, and saved. It was healthier than the commercial stuff with preservatives.
