What Happened to "Jyllens Posten"?

The Danish newspaper that sponsored the caroonist’s caricatures of Muhammed? Did they :
-go out of business (boycotted by muslims)
-make gobs of money (sold out by publicity)
-resort to self-censorship?
I think the editor of this newspaper was pretty brave to do what he did. Was he threatedned by local muslims? Did he wind up on some “death fatwah” list?
This obscure little paper was in the news for quite a while-how are they doing today?

Here it is.

When I went to Copenhagen on vacation in 2006, we could see their building from the window of our hostel room.

It’s Jyllands-Posten, not Jyllens.

Hehe, “Jyllens”.

Jyllands means Jutland. Which is the larger, continental part of Denmark.

Now I realize what Mr. JP stands for.

Spend much time in Århus?

Jyllands-Posten is still here, and it is still the largest of the daily newspapers in Denmark. I don’t think they actually made any money by sponsoring the caricatures, but the issue as a whole (the drawings + the debate) cost Danish companies a lot of their business in the Middle East. If anything, the caricatures can probably be described as the most expensive drawings ever printed in a Danish newspaper.
The publishing of the drawings created a significant outrage amongst Danish muslims, but I don’t think it ever came to more than protests. The cartoonists and the editor did actually end up on a fatwa-list, and a wealthy Indian muslim offered a large cash reward for the killing of those involved in publishing the drawings, but today the issue seems largely forgotten.
The debate seems to be over in Denmark, with the (predictable) result that while a newspaper should legally be allowed to ridicule any social, ethnic or religious group they want to, it is not always a good idea to do it. Self-censorship? - YMMV.

If it matters, Danish products are back in the store in Saudi Arabia.
