Just today I noticed an improper thread in General Questions. I was going to click on “Report this post to a moderator,” only to find that option is no longer there. How come? Since when? And what’s the most efficient way to direct a moderator’s attention to an improper post or thread? ---

It’s still there, it’s just got a little icon now. It’s the icon that looks like a rectangle with an exclamation mark in it, top right corner of the post. If you hover your mouse over it, you should get a box that says “Report Bad Post”. One oddity of the current software is that you can’t report one of your own posts (if you needed a moderator’s assistance to fix a broken link or some other egregious coding error, for example). ---
