# What happened to the Anthrax cases?

It just occured to me: Its been almost a week since the anthrax reportings. Did they idiot stop mailing them? Did he himself (ok, s/herself) get anthrax and die a horrible death? Did the quarantining actually work?
Or am I totally out of touch with the news?

Well, most of the folks who caught it got better and went home. No recent mailings, although they’re finding tainted mail-handling machines right and left in the DC and NY areas - no big surprise there.
So, nothing much that the news folks are willing to lead into a broadcast with.

[This **AP** story](http://dailynews.yahoo.com/h/ap/20011114/us/attacks_anthrax_13.html) from the 14[sup]th[/sup] says that the feds suspect that there’s at another tainted letter lost in the system, and they’re preparing to sort through the mail that’s been held-up to find it.

Well, another suspected letter has turned up in the Senate. Same postmark as the others and evidently the same handwriting.
