For those of you who don’t know, John Batchelor had a nationally syndicated radio show based out of WABC in New York focusing on the international situation and the war on terror. As of Monday, it was announced that the show is “on hiatus until further notice” and that “Batchelor’s relationship with WABC has been terminated”. Does anybody know the story behind this, or why the show went off the air?

Wikipedia has two possibilities–

His website [www.johnbatchelorshow.com](http://www.johnbatchelorshow.com) says “watch this space”, “future is rosy”.

His background music always distracts me from his concepts.

Wow I had no idea. When I go through my periodic talk radio fazes his show was my favorite. I am currently not in one of those fazes so I had no idea he was off the air.
