I think those ads are original and funny. I heard last year that VW was going to try to appeal more to guys because VWs had a rep as a chick car. That hurts, cuz I have been driving VWs on and off for 25 years. I am a MAN baby! But I must admit, the Cabriolet is the \*\*ultimate \*\* chick car. ---

I don’t particularly care for the FAST commercials, but I’ll be damed if the German Anti-Pimp ones are the best commercials I’ve seen in awhile. They actually have me looking forward to new ones. If I had the money to throw around, I might even buy the car they’re selling! ---

OK maybe someone can clear this up for me. It seems to me that part of the target market segment for a supposedly powerful small car is exactly the kind of person who’s going to ugly it up with spinners on the wheels and a tail on the back. Isn’t VW alienating a big part of the potential buyers for this car with these ads? ---

The radio ads explain it better–the cars have performance equipment added at the factory so they don’t need all that bodywork, much of which is put on in lieu of actual performance equipment. ---

I liked the commercial even more than whatever show I was watching, and just sat there rewinding the DVR over & over, & laughing as Stomare goes, “ooh, schnap!” after the ride de-pimping. ---

Stormare is also the lone bright spot in that dreadful film **The Brothers Grimm**. Which by the way, is why I think Ledger didn’t get best actor. He was being punished for Grimm. 😃 ---
