# What happened to your bedroom when you went to college?

My room stayed my room during four years of college. During my first year in graduate school, they moved. My bed and dresser were moved into a room in the new house and I used it the next summer as my room. The next summer I got married.

My room stayed the same because I came home every weekend, and my parents knew I was a big weenie and would be moved back home by the end of my freshman year. They were right.

Mine and my brothers’ rooms stayed the same until we moved out to our own homes in our mid-20s.
