Not if I was the judge he couldn’t. At the time it was actually aired, trump would be fully aware of the bail conditions and of the contents of the interview. If he allowed it to be aired, he knowingly violated those conditions and it’s straight to jail for him. Any argument contrary would have to depend on trump have no control, and no meaningful influence, over Carlson’s use of the interview. Which given their relationship utterly fails the laugh test, much less the smell test. Could trump/Carlson be planning something just like that to test the waters? Maybe. That seems more chesslike than either of those losers have played the game recently. ---
