# What happens to old twitter posts?

It takes a lot of patience to scroll back more than a few days on a busy twitter account. For example Kirstie Alley cranks out thirty or more tweets a day. Plus she retweets a lot too.

What if you wanted to see tweets from a year ago? Are they just gone? Is there an archive?

The [Library of Congress](http://www.loc.gov/today/pr/2010/10-081.html) is archiving every single tweet ever.
