What happens to people who cannot get health insurance? (U.S. obviously)

[QUOTE=Lobohan]

Every cent of profit (obviously doctors and such need to be paid. A police department isn’t for profit and the chief makes 120k a year.) made in insurance and hospitals is repugnant so long as one of your countrymen goes without care.

Right because profit = evil. :rolleyes:

That’s BS. You know exactly what they were saying. Profit!= evil. Profit that directly causes suffering in others is.

All this and we have skipped another part of health care…DENTAL.

I look forward to you showing how hospitals and their employees making a profit fits this definition of evil.

Do the police make a profit. As I clearly said, the police chief makes 120k a year. But they aren’t run for profit. They pay everyone involved, but they don’t seek to lower services so they can make more to give to share holders.

You can understand that right? :rolleyes:

That includes all the extra employees hired simply to convince the HMO’s & Insurance Companies to pay.

Most of the employees involved in patient care–& most of their support personnel–aren’t gettingthat profit. In fact, their own health benefits–pretty good in comparison with much of the country–have gotten less good in recent years.

The suits are doing pretty well, though.
