Phlosphr, while my choice of the word alliance might be a little strong I would think that with what is going on regarding US foreign policy I am sure that they are talking abut who is the greater threat to world stability. I will go farther to say that the warheads that China and Russia possess, many have been redirected away from each other and more toward a bigger perceived threat.

You have got to be kidding me. You are saying that somehow the administration has somehow made China and Russia strategically rethink their nuclear threats and actively retargetted their missiles because of the percieved threat? that has got to be the most erronious “cowboy” rhetoric I have heard, even from the most anti-American hack.

Don’'t you thin that China and rssia already have most of thier missiles pointed towards us? In the case of China they probably already have everything they can hit us with faced this way. To say that the Bush admin is exacerbating a nuclear scenario is only dreamed up in the most direst of fantasies.

Bush didn’t make up the nuclear policy we have today. We have always said that we would use nukes if WMD where used against us. Nothing has changed.

i’m not so sure about “just” as dependent. We are in a better economic position than any other invididual country, in terms of both our capital structure and our natural resources. (Other countries may have an individual natural resource we dont , but are dependent on trade to realize its worth.)

IMHO, if an individual country were to consider not to trade with us, they would decide against it, since they would be hurt more than us. However, collectively, if they spread out the hurt, we would be the country affected the worst.
