# What happens when your Private Messages folder is full?

Do you just not receive new messages at all, or are you notified that someone attempted to send a message but it didn’t go through, or does the system start to delete other messages so new ones can be received, or…?

No idea, but when it gets sort of fullish, you can delete the older stuff.

When your PM inbox gets full, someone trying to send you a PM will get a message that it’s undeliverable because your inbox is full. Then, the failed sender posts a message on the message board saying something to the effect of _“Hey, Sattua, clean out your PM inbox!”_. Then you go and open up your inbox and delete the messages you have no more need of saving. And while you’re at it, you’ll probably clean out your outbox too. Then you post a reply to the clean out your freaking inbox message saying something like “Sorry. It’s cleaned out now.” And the sender tries again to send the PM and you receive it.
