In Canada and several European companies, they get their map data from a company called TeleAtlas. For corrections, Google directs you to them; they have a form on their website for you to submit corrections. I submitted several corrections for Montreal.
If I’m not certain about the route Google gives me, I also check on Mapquest. Sometimes the information is better. I was using the Florida Turnpike back in December and MapQuest gave me a better exit than Google.
When the Maitland Boulevard Extension opened here in Orlando, it took Google about 8 months to update the map.
It may be gone, but the one from 66-W (from inside the Beltway) to 495 South is still there and a thrill a minute :eek:. We take that about once a week and it’s always a real treat. The cars which are already in the left lane at that point seem to take my wish to merge as a personal affront. Or treat me as if I’m invisible.
