I am really glad I read this thread. I’ve always been a little bit mouth obsessed - even now I will suck on pen caps and such - and when I was maybe 7 or 8 years old I absent-mindedly gave myself a big hickey on my shoulder while watching tv. My older sister shrieked in laughter and ran out of the house to tell the other neighborhood kids. I stormed out of the house and headed down the street to put some distance between me and my tormentors. My sister thought I was “running away from home” (my God, 7-year-olds don’t do that!) and she told the neighborhood kids that she would personally kill them if they made fun of me. Then she came after me and appologized. The other kids never mentioned it again. Looking back, I guess she kinda went above and beyond the call of duty … I don’t know if I would have been that mature. Gee, after almost 40 years, I have new respect for my mean older sister. ---

Once or twice when I was REALLY small (but can still remember) I sucked on my arm for a while… a large red mark turned up. I have my own interesting story, but I cant see any button marked “post new thread”… where is it? 😕 (I am new to SDMB and this is my first post here EVER.) ---

To Reply to messages in **this** thread, look for the “reply” button in the lower left, near the bottom of the thread. To start a **new** thread, go to the correct Forum for your topic (the Mods are rather strict about which Forum you should use), and look near the top of the page for the New Topic button. ---
