I have not been able to find any info on a beautiful French-Canadian (Acadian) folk song I heard long ago on CBC Radio. I believe it is called “Le Gras De Vie”. Tried CBC Radio - no help, too late. Can’t find it in any “expert” record stores either ☹ ---

or not. I metioned this a while ago, but if anyone could find a site that had a lot of the defining photographs of the 20th century, such as the Tiananmen Square photo with the tanks, etc… I’d appreciate it. ---

An mp3 of Solly’s Beard by Yes. However, I just found out that they put out a CD of this (it was formerly only on the 9012Live tape which I played to death), so I have hopes of finding that online somewhere. ---

Not sure if this is related or not, but there’s a 1966 book of humor pieces by the New Yorker’s S.J. Perelman called “Chicken Inspector #23”. Bookfinder found dozens of [copies](http://www.bookfinder.com/search/?st=sl&ac=sl&qi=MD6UQiZdJEiGpQjIqLwk.41MD68urAwk:31:68), and there’s even one up for auction at [Yahoo](http://page.auctions.yahoo.com/auction/45554469). You might have to find a copy of the book to see if the pins were inspired by Perelman. I also found a link to an auction of a “chicken inspector #23” pin, but the link is dead (auction is probably over.) Once I looked and looked for how to make a bomb. Congressmen always talked about “you can find out how to make a bomb on the internet” when they want to be censors. So I looked. Now I was looking for something that would take down a building but all I found was potatoe guns and the like. I did visit this Klan site because the description said the site had a ‘Kids Korner’. The kid section had this interactive art thing that was kind of cool and totally not Klan related. I don’t really want to blow up a building I just wanted to see if the claims of United State Senators were true. ---

You can definitely find bomb making instructions, and I’ve seen them (this was a couple of weeks ago). I’m not going to post any addresses, (1) because I didn’t write any down – I’m not actually interested in making bombs – and (2) because I doubt the mods or the Chicago Reader would appreciate it! ---

**Havok** - Many major news organizations have online “Photos of the Century” Galleries. Here’s one from the [Associated Press](http://wire.ap.org/APpackages/centuryphotos/index.html). Just looking through this collection gave me chills. (Especially the Challenger picture.) The [New York Daily News](http://www.dailynews.com/extra/spec/centuryphotos/01.htm) also has a great collection online. Neither of these collections includes the Tianmen Square photo, but it can be found accompanying this [CNN Article](http://www.cnn.com/SPECIALS/views/y/1999/06/chinoy.tiananmen.jun2/). ---
