I use a modified version of Groovy; Groove. Back when I was (alledgedly) hip, whenever someone made a mistake, we always said “Oh, my bag.”

I do not know how “My Bad” came into being, but I still say “My Bag”.

I only use “Dude” when I talk to my son or my employer.
BAG?! :smack: Who SAYS that? That doesn’t even make sense! I demand you change your vocabulary. You’re embarrassing me, even.

Anywho, mom likes saying “cutting on” someone instead of “ripping on” them. I prefer to say something incredibly corny and usually ethnically cliched (like “You, whaddup homes”) very awkwardly and then tagging it w/ “or whatever the kids are saying these days”…made all the funnier because I’m 21.

I use groovy, too. I love it. It never gets old.

Dude. Can’t be gotten out with a wad of steel wool and Ajax.

Cool still comes up, as does awesome.

At work I say “Heavens to Betsy”…my own personal, soon to catch on code phrase for “Fuck this Shit”…

I am guilty of “Okey-dokey, artichokey” and “Yes, indeedy-doody, daddy.”

And, when I’m around my sister, we both talk lolcat. “I has a [fill in the blank]!”

I use “Zed’s dead, baby,” in work situations far too often. It’s from Pulp Fiction and I use to indicate that a problem has gone away such as when a pain in the ass moved to another project or after I fire someone. We all watched a DVD of the movie after work one day and kind of latched on to it.

Word. Groovy. Right on. Awesome. Bitchin’. Off the hook/chain. Kickass. Rocks (“Right on man that rocks!” is my standard phrase of congratulations). Dude. Chillax. Cool. Sweet. No worries (in spite of how often I catch myself using this one, I find I still worry a LOT. I really should learn to chillax.) Fuck and its various conjugations (when a verb) and permutations.

It’s a wonder I got into college, I know. I’d rather die before I ever use “sick” in its slang form though.

Cool. Sucks.

Pretty much all-purpose timeless words. (So do they really count as slang? :D)

“Is it 'cos I’s Black” (from Ali G.) gets quite a workout around my mostly-White Goth friends.

Also “sor’ed”(“sorted” with a swallowed “t”-glottal stop thingummy). A pisstake of Jamie Oliver’s Mockney accent. “Nice one!” and “…and you’re laughing!” too.

But you’re not a Coloured South African, so it’s OK.

P.S. - Love your _semi freddo_ recipe, use it all the time. Nice one, mate!
