Well Xema because I’m an über geek my plan is to have a PC in the wine cellar monitoring temperature and humidity. I’ll put a nice CrystalFontz LCD display in the case displaying those stats so when you’re in the wine cellar you know. But the PC will also be updating that info on my webserver so I can be anywhere in the world and know what the temperature and humidity in my wine cellar is. I may even hook-up a USB camera so I can look at my wine!
Is it at all usefull? Not really, a $12 Temperature/Humidity sensor would do the trick. However it is extremely high on the LCF (Look Cool Factor).

Damn. That’s way cool. Seriously.
In our house:
-Paint 2 year-old’s room and move the 4 year-old into it, then move the 2-y.o. into the 4-y.o.'s room;
-Gut and completely re-do their bathroom, with a new tub, toilet, ceiling, walls, floor tile, and double-vanity;
-Build a shed in the back yard;
-Put in a bluestone patio in the back and walkway from front, around side of house to the back;
-Till front and back yards and put in new sod;
-Sand & refinish floors on main level;
-the list goes on.

After reading everyone’s lists, I don’t feel so bad now about our house. Let’s see . . .
- finish painting the master bedroom (right now there’s an “I heart U” that my hubby painted on one of the walls for me with primer during our last attempt to paint the room)
- repaint the future nursery (no announcement here!)
- repaint the spare bedroom (right now known as the purple room)
- who am I kidding . . . the entire house needs repainted/finished painted
- the dishwasher has yet to be bolted to the underside of the kitchen counter (grumble, grumble)
- we have plenty of clocks and pictures to be put on the walls
- we had our new landscaping started in the fall, the beds were built up and the bushes planted, we will finish that this spring with the addition of a small tree, some flowers, and solar lights
- a new storm door and front door will be added this spring
- we will move our office downstairs into the formal dining room this year (we don’t use it anyways)
Our future list (in the next 5 years) will include:
- redo the kitchen: cabinets, flooring, add an island or breakfast bar
- replace the vanities in both bathrooms
- install new interior doors
- remove old back deck and build a new one (to code) or add a paver patio
- get a hot tub (wishful thinking)
- redo the front walkway and steps
We either have no time or are too lazy to get half this stuff done!
I bought a locking cabinet which I plan to put in my room to provide more shelf space (and a secure place to put my camera equiment when I’m not using it) At the moment, I still have yet to remove the shelf from its box (I should do that this week)
