> Jack Frost. Not the Michael Keaton one either. There was a horror of the same name which came out a few years earlier. Same premise (guy dies, soul enters a snowman), except this guy was an evil muderer. In one scene, he stabs a girl with an icicle while yelling, “I guess Christmas came early this year!” It was such a terrible line, not to mention terrible film, I had to laugh.

That was a hilarious movie through and through - it was intentionally made to be funny I would assume because it was so stupid and not at all scary. The only exception being the somewhat disturbing scene when the snowman moves his carrot nose three feet lower on his body and then uses it to rape someone.

Any of those teen-murder-gore flicks that were sopopular. Take “FRIDAY THE 13TH”-you just know that the pretty coed and the handsome hunk will soon be filleted and/or dismembered (right AFTER they have noisey sex in their sleeping bag). These movies all had the same outcome…everybody dies, preferably as bloodily as possible!

I didn’t even saw the actual movie, but I do remember back in the '80s a preview for an upcoming horror movie with this tagline:

“There’s more than prices being slashed at…THE CHOPPING MALL!”

Needless to say, the entire audience burst into hysterics at it. I keep expect to see it get lampooned in “the Onion” in the “films that time forgot” section.

* * *

As for entire movies, “Bram Stoker’s Dracula” was so far over the top that my friends & I started laughing from the very first scene. But the two best moments concerned late Lucy Westenra:

Van Helsing: “After Miss Westenra’s funeral, I’d like to be allowed to view her body privately.”

Lucy’s fiance: “Do you want to perform an autopsy?”

Van Helsing: “Oh no, no! I merely wish to drive a stake through her heart and cut off her head.”

* * *

Later on, when Van Helsing & co. confront and kill the vampiric Lucy, and Van Helsing gets his (belated) chance to lop off Lucy’s head. The film then abruptly cuts from Lucy’s headless body, to a dinner scene - and a close-up of a beef wellington. You had to see the visual to really get it, but it was a rather humourous juxtaposition.

I remember laughing myself silly at The Fog starring the great Adrianne Barbeau. Not intentionally funny but me and my brother made it that way, MST3K style.

Sleepaway Camp - if only for the “death by curling iron” scene.
Especially the shot of the shadow of the curling iron opening and closing.

**Jack Frost** was great fun. Lots of corny one-liners from the evil snowman.

My favorite line came from the taking-out-the-trash scene in **Silent Night, Deadly Night 2**. It was just two little words, yet it makes me smile everytime I think about it.

Oh man, I’d forgotten all about that movie. “I think we’ll call you Angela. I do believe it means ‘angel’…why yes it does, it does mean angel!”

There’s a scene in **Gothika** where Halle Berry is walking through a secret basement room where women have been tied up and videotaped while they were tortured, raped, and murdered. Halle finds a bunch of syringes and bottles near the bed, supposedly filled with the drugs they used to sedate the women while they tortured them. There’s also a black medical bag, and sitting in the top of the bag, big as day, is a box of Anusol. The hemmorhoid ointment.

Years ago I was in a few musicals with the girl who played Angela (she was a hell of a singer, actually). Never saw the film until years later, which is a good thing. Had I seen it then, I probably wouldn’t have been able to keep a straight face while we were working. From what I remember, she had a good sense of humor about the film. Nice girl - I wonder what became of her.

**Re-Animator** cracked me up. Especially when Herbert West asks the decapitated and ambitous Dr. Hill, “Who’s going to listen to a talking head?” What made if funnier was that earlier in the film, there Talking Heads poster in the background of a scene.

**The Blob**. That glop was going to take over the world! It ate people! ANd it had a nifty theme song!

“Beware of the blob, cause it creeps- and leaps- and moves- and squiggles on the floor…”

The first time I saw **Jaws** , I antagonized an entire theater-ful of patrons by bursting into huge gales of uncontrollable laughter at the climactic scene, where Roy Schieder goes up against the shark armed only with a rifle and an unbelievable coincidence. Although I don’t think the scene in question was ever formally nominated for the [Smithee Awards](http://www.smitheeawards.com/categories.cfm), I consider it a type specimen for the “Crummiest Ending” category (which often overlaps with the “Deus ex Machina” award, as the Category Descriptions point out). Decades later, I still can’t watch the last two minutes of that movie without cracking up.

“Tool Shed”

“May they burn in Hell mother”

There’s gotta be a good House of 1,000 Corpses quote here. Even though the script sucked.
