As one of the few who quit while I was relatively sober, I should mention that while **Tir** , **Angua** , **ianzin** et alia were busily depleting the bar stock, I had long and interesting conversations with both **Heloise** (especially before those pints kicked in) and **pingalondon**. It _is_ possible to have an intelligent discussion at a Dopefest; you just have to pick your chatting companions carefully. ---

Her name is Ann (she’s actually registered under the _nom-de-keyboard_ **Kicker** but has never posted, preferring to shout helpful suggestions at me from the couch at the other side of the living room).
