I am sorry I missed out on some fun pink fokkers. It was a crappy day. I was heading over to Indianapolis at precisely the time y’all were meeting up, and it was a miserable drive. I want everyone to meet again at a time I can go to. Does anyone have plans of a Cincy Doperama? ---

There’ll be a Cincy Doperama planned as soon as you get on it **Elysian**. I think a good one would be everyone showing up at **Shibb** ’s house and making him feed us sammiches. The _only_ flaw in that plan is I don’t know where he lives. Or Christmas Carrolling. We could all go sing at people until they give us wassail or figgy pudding. But that could take a while. The Festival of Lights is lighting up at the Cincy Zoo. Always a crowd pleaser, that is. Dope Day at Jungle Jim’s. Man, that would _so_ rock! Then we all go to **Shibb** ’s house and make him cook for us. (Again, one small problem.) You know what was way-fun? When **Zappo** came to town and we went to the fondue place. Cheesey goodness. Ice skating in West Chester. They have a new rink just opened. Right next to P.F. Chang’s. (Or Red Robin, home of the Nice Glasses.) Look at that. Just off the top of my head. Now git to work! ---

On Saturday, Mr. Gazer and I stained. But first we sanded, and conditioned. Then we stained. Then we went home. And then I spent like 5 hours at church on Sunday! No, not “like” 5 hours – 5 actual hours! First I had handbell choir rehearsal, then there was String Band Rehearsal, then there was church, and then there was Julfest choir rehearsal. Whew. I had had it up to [sup]here[/sup] with rehearsing, let me tell you. Then Mr. Gazer stained some more, but I didn’t. I hung out with his parents. Then we went home and played with our cute, cute kitties. There, **Bumby** , is that better? I’m trying to raise the sensibilities of this thread for ya. ('Sides, I’m not interested in dating **Kallessa** or **Angel Pants**. And since she doesn’t dust…) -stargazer (I’m tryin’, here!) ---

First of all, I think that perhaps the Very Special Day is **Rue** ’s birthday. My brain is as dusty as ever but for some reason that bit of data seems lodged in there, like about November 25th or so. And then **Scout** is the next month after, right? As for CincyDope’s, since the Birthday Boy has been to my house before, I’m kind of sad that he doesn’t remember where it is. But in all of the excitement I can kind of understand that he might have forgotten. But we could do a “eat Shibb out of house and home Cincy Dope” if you like. I make wonderful sandwiches. I’m also good at cooking many other varieties of food. Or it might be more interesting (and simpler, logistically speaking) to have a CincyDope (or MiniCincyDope) at the new Red Robin at the Union Center exit. Would be convenient to those Daytonians as well. Not quite as convenient as Dayton, but then we could reciprocate with a trip up north later. I am curious to see this Oregon place of which **Elysian** spoke. ---

If you’ll think about it, I _wasn’t_ at your house **Shibb**. I was _near_ your house, but I wasn’t actually there. That one time everyone went off to your house after that one thing (wasn’t it the kickoff to DopeToYourDoor?) I had to go home instead. I think I needed to prepare for something. So, as it turns out, I wasn’t at your house. I think pretty much everyone else was though, so it’s understandable you didn’t notice I wasn’t there. **Scout** ’s birthday is December 22nd. It’s easy to remember: **scout 1222**. 12 / 22 = December 22nd. There’s no excuse for forgetting _her_ birthday. **Snickers** was born on January 23 (28 years ago… or so). And \*\*Puddin’\*\*s birthday is February 18. After that, I’m out to sea as far as birthday’s go. (OK, I know when Soupo’s is (January 9th) and Katcha’s too (May 2nd), and the Little Woman’s (September 26th) of course. But then I’d better, huh?) That’s why I got married. Or at least one of the reasons. Wimmins just seem to remember birthdays better than boys. It must be a genetic thing. -Rue. Sorry 'bout that. **Rue** is more of a small barn fowl and soggy breakfast cereal guy than he is about strippers, anyway. At least that’s my take. Besides he’ll probably be off on a joy ride in the _Betty_ that day. The embarassing thing was that this got posted into a [thread about email Diplomacy](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?s=&postid=4248702#post4248585) before I reposted it here. ---
