What if all firearms vanished?

No, since I mostly use and carry self-contained airguns. After a thorough tune with quality parts, they shoot around 20k shots without a need for any feeding / upkeep, save for a swipe with gun oil after outings.

These 20 to 30 ft.lbs guns can take any small game with body shots out to 60 yards or so (<100 yds shot from a rest), and even small deer & boar with headshots.

I am certainly not comparing the two. But the OP is “What if all firearms vanished” and I think Crossbows could take their place for several uses, before the factories made enuf guns so that civilians and non-police could own one.

Which are often changed in emergencies.
