What if America had used nukes in Vietnam?

I’m surprised to be the first to say this, but using nuclear weapons very likely would have started World War III and, very shortly if not right away, global nuclear war and the destruction of human civilization.

And RickJay wins for making the obvious point.

Vietnam wasn’t the only flash point in the world during the 1960s. The North and South Koreans, East and West Germans, Arabs and Israelis, Pakistanis and Indians (and I’m sure many more that I’m not thinking of right now) were all on the edge of full-blown wars.

One tactical nuke in Vietnam would have spread to one or two along the Korean frontier, two or three in Kashmir, etc. until someone would throw one at a major city.
