Nah, for moral reasons alone.
I leave their political choices up to them. I’ve always thought telling the other side what it ought to do to win was getting at least to the border of concern-trolling territory.

The things is, we aren’t just voting for Romney or Obama. We are voting for which party the new cabinet and new justices will be picked from, which party will be selecting the next FEMA head and the next drug czar. A party that tries to switch candidates in the middle of the stream would lose a lot of voters. Romney would have to really screw the pooch, perhaps even literally, before his party could reasonably dump him and even then, who would vote for a party that so couldn’t get its act together?
Who else have they got who’d do better? The runner-up in the primaries was Santorum, for pity’s sake.
First laugh I’ve had today.
This is a hijack, Ono, but how do you figure Romney is a better debater? We all saw him in numerous Republican debates, and his chief tactic seem to be to wait until the other guys said something stupid, and they always did. Obama is unlikely to say anything stupid, IMHO.
With the upcoming 2016 campaign of Rev. Huckabee, I could see a Santorum nomination, now.
Still, the worst that can happen to the GOP is people not voting at all. I think that flip-flopping is certainly not a problem for any campaigner against Obama. It’s come down to, “Yeah, Mittens sucks, but he ain’t Obama!”
I like that you delineate a specific cause of death as a prerequisite here. So, assuming any other cause of death, the rest of the campaign is going to play out as Weekend at Mitt’s? I could get behind that; sunglasses would be a good look on him.
How do we know that isn’t what’s already going on now? Mittens isn’t exactly the liveliest character and he even got bullied out of a moment of silence by a SINGLE heckler… hmm…
Could you elaborate on that, please, Enkel? I don’t watch news on television, and it appears that I missed discussion of any such incident.
Let us remember the reason why Romney is the nominee, which is that Republican voters accurately perceived him to be more nearly electable in November than any other Pub candidate in the field; the rest of the lot being either clowns like Cain or odious ideological nutcases like Santorum, Gingrich and Paul. I mean, if they dump him now, who else have they got who wouldn’t be worse?!
For kaylasdad: From Politico:
One guy yells something and Mittens calls the whole thing off.
