Cicada man- No comic character I know of, but the idea of a half man half cicada who pops up every 17 years was the idea behind the movie The Beast Within. It’s bad but I’ve seen much worse. Platypus Man- Was the name of a short lived sitcom on either UPN or the WB. After learning that the platypus was fat, nocturnal, had stubby legs etc a comedian whose name escapes me at the moment decided it was his totem animal and called himself Platypus Man. This did not involve a costume or fighting crime. ---

I’ve not seen a comic about FerretMan, but I do know it was used as a rip-off of Batman in Kim Possible. He was the Fearless Ferret, and he was played by Adam West. ---

Batman-themed, but Asif Mandvi [interviews](http://ccinsider.comedycentral.com/2011/03/02/the-daily-show-on-batmans-muslim-sidekick/) a man bitten by a _bigoted_ spider (from around 2:40 on to catch the quote). ---

I think it’d be interesting if you gave him real spider powers. He could drain villains of their blood and shoot spider webs from his ass. 😃 ---

Then, I’d be shooting webs out my butt.’ One of the Mystery Men (I forget which one) mentions the time they fought Spider Boy- who liked to climb walls and eat flies. ---

Who, yes, shot webbing out of his rear when he reached that point, and when he looked back to find where the webbing was coming from saw what he’d become and jumped to his death. ---
