Yeah, I don’t get this complaint at all. This time of year is packed with celebrations that are of a lot of importance to a lot of people. Not only does Obama have to work around the schedules of the Rabbis and such that are attending, who probably have multiple celebrations to deal with, but also with the various Christmas celebrations, not to mention his own schedule involved with presidential duties. The dates closer to the offical date of the celebration should be reserved for the more meaningful celebrations with family or fellow believers, and the less important ones will inevitably be farther away. It’s not uncommon for companies to have their Christmas parties a couple weeks in advance–I’ve seen some as early as tonight–so why is someone who is probably much busier has more celebrations to juggle and more people’s schedules to consider being held to such a ridiculous standard? I could understand if he was celebrating it in Novemeber, but being off by 12 days seems like a reasonable amount of leeway. ---
