# What inappropriate movies did you watch as a kid?

I received a copy of The Terminator for Christmas when I was 7 or 8. My mom used to sometimes, while Christmas shopping, buy a thing or two that was really for herself, but put it under the tree for us kids. I have no idea why. Needless to say, I watched the hell out of that movie, and it’s still one of my favorites.

Jaws traumatized me at 6. I remember being unable to watch Quint’s death for _years_ specifically because of the blood coming out of his mouth. I could not fathom as a child how a person could be eaten from the feet up, and be bleeding out the mouth before the shark’s teeth were anywhere near it.

I was about eight years old. The local neighborhood theater had a defective lock on one of the fire exits. I snuck in to see Psycho, and then had to walk home alone in the twilight.

It was a scary walk.
