It seems like part of what the suit seeks is equitable relief – generally not associated with a jury trial – and part of what the trial seeks is money damages – where they may have been able to prevail on a Motion to have the case heard by a jury (or which may have been declared to also be equitable relief by a Judge… Pretty much everything else you could throw out there, OTOH, is.
