It’s an acronym of three letters, where the first is “M”, the second is “M”, and the third is “P”. If you want a better answer, could you give us some context, like the sentence or paragraph where it apppeared? ---

I’m betting it was in MPSIMS, where they have an MMP about once a week - IIRC it stands for “Monday Morning Post” and is a pretext for a thread of rambling chit-chat about nothing in particular. Haven’t you noticed one some time in the last eleven years? ---

It’s just a chatty thread in which people get together and discuss everything from the mundane to the grand. A support network of friends, like neighbors, that share recipes or talk about mom’s cancer or how to best get rid of weeds or even what they had for breakfast that morning or whose birthday it is. It starts every Monday morning and everyone’s welcome. Hijacks are the rule and you don’t have to respond to anyone or even read the whole thread if you want. It’s like the bar that always knows your name. A friendly, warm feeling. ---
