# what is casually elegant?

Apologies if I did succeed in posting this a few days ago. I can’t find the thread if I did.  
So, I have to attend a function where the invitation says dress “casually elegant”.  
Not being a clothes guy, what does that mean for the guy?  
sport coat? sport coat + tie? suit?  
any guesses?  
My wife is OK with what she will be wearing, but I don’t want to miss this mark by too much.

Black slacks and a nice tucked in button down shirt would be my guess.
