All of a sudden I’m being bombarded by ads for something called Evony. It asks me to “play,” so I’m guessing it’s an online game of some kind. All of the ads I’ve seen feature pictures of large-busted women in fantasy settings. I’m not a big fan of time-consuming games, but these ads have hit on an area of interest of mine. Frankly, I like the idea of a game centered on fantasy and boobs, but I can’t imagine what such a game would be like. So, anyone know what this is? What’s it about? How does a game work in boobs? ---

Basically a shitty WoW/Civilization rip-off. No boobs in the game whatsoever. ---

From what I’ve heard, the primary game interface is a credit-card processing screen. Success or failure in the game is determined by how much you pay: You can buy better techs, or more units, or the like. You _can_ play for free, if you don’t mind being a stone-age dirt farmer. ---

What Chronos said. The parent company is allegedly a chinese gold-farming company for MMO’s, and I guess they decided to eliminate the middle man. The game seems fun at first, but rapidly goes downhill as soon as you are able to be attacked by others. No fun at all in that instance. ---

It’s an online strategy game built by a Chinese gold farming company. Originally it ripped of most of its art from Ages of Empires and was called Civony, because it was so similar to Civilization. They changed the name to Evony after being threatened by the Firaxis lawyers. The iEvony client which lets you invite your friends to the game is probably a trojan which harvests email addresses. The items purchased by players in game with credit cards have a habit of mysteriously deleting themselves. The only good thing that ever came out Evony are [Pop-Cap’s Plants vs. Zombie ads](http://www.escapistmagazine.com/news/view/93649-PopCaps-Evony-Spoof-Ads-for-Plants-vs-Zombies-Keep-Coming). If you like that sort of game, you might try Lords of Ultima or Nile Online. Oh, and yeah, the boobs are a lie. ---

My favorite is the “SAVE YOUR LOVER!” ad, both for that line, and for the fact that the woman on the right is totally checking out the other woman’s boobs. There’s just something sublimely funny about the picture. ---

The woman with the cleavage (who’s probably masturbating) next to the message, “Play Evony unnoticeably on your browser NOW!” And the very humble, “Evony- the best web game!” ETA- I also notice that it asks if you’re male or female. At least they could pretend and change “Lord’s Name” to “Lady’s Name” when you select female. Of course, that’d be dumb, since there are no girls on the Internet, so maybe they aren’t as stupid as they’d have us believe. ---

The art is mostly ripped off from Age of Empires. Gameplay is mostly ripped off from Travian. There is absolutely nothing titillating about the game itself. Which is kind of silly–how hard would it have some cheesecake avatars and such? ---
