Alas, no money left over for marksmanship training for the henchmen.
Those human-animal genetic experiments Walt Disney engaged in were horribly unethical.
Someday the deep, dark secret of the Disney parks will be revealed; those aren’t people in costumes but actual human-animal hybrids.
When they reanimate Walt’s frozen head he will be well pleased with the continued progress of his awful experiments.
And I assume you’re going to reply “No, just a fact.”
Another noise related one:
A character is apartment hunting and is checking out some really crappy apartment. Somehow all the traffic noise from the busy freeway right outside the window is completely inaudible until the character opens the blinds and reveals that the apartment is located right next to that busy freeway. Because on TV you can only hear the traffic if you can see it.
I wish my blinds did that good of a job of blocking sound.
Which makes sense because you can be in crowded cafe or coffee shop (I’m looking at you “Friends”) and you can see everyone in the background carrying on conversations and yet you can’t hear a word that they’re saying.
In an evil-sounding foreign accent: “A threat? Oh, no,no,no! We do not ‘threaten.’ We simply … observe.”
Walt was notoriously opposed to collective bargaining. One particular incident informed his conviction:
Or my backup, “No, it’s a promise.”
I am dying- yes.
also- can you tell me how you typed in italics? dumb question I know…
Just realized how to use italics, rushed back to delete question, can’t figure out how to, ughhh
Unless you have it hidden there is an I in the reply task bar. Click that and type. Or you can put your text between two asterisks like this text.
I just watched a clip where someone was shot in the abdomen. “He’s lucky, it went straight through.” In what way is that lucky? More organs to go through?
Possibly they mean simply drilled a narrow hole (as full-metal jacket rounds sometimes do) as opposed to gouging out a huge wound channel. “Terminal ballistics” is a strange, complex and ofttimes ghastly subject.
Disney’s animators had the best pay and working conditions in the industry, but were discontented
Walt thought that that would be enough, but the head of the Union hated Disney for his refusal to unionize. Also, altho over all the pay was good, it wasnt well organized, leading artists doing identical jobs but being paid widely different amounts.
The magic bullet thing in hollywood, where once they get the bullet out, everything is fine.
As long as they treat the wound and the victim with brandy afterwards, everything will turn out well.
In Westerns you might spit some tobacco juice on it as well. Can only help.
Brandy? No, you need to use whiskey! A splash to disinfect the wound, a swig to anesthetize the patient, and a gulp to steady the doctor’s nerves!
All the other cowboys will make fun of you if you show up and ask for a cognac like a Frenchman. It’s always “whiskey, leave the bottle”, brand names are unnecessary.
Maybe Wisconsin cowboys can get away with brandy.
