Well, apparently y’all don’t have critical thinking skills because you don’t agree with this person’s viewpoint. I guess we’re all “dangerous” because of that too. I hate how I’m non-critical, dangerous, and “emotional” (I fail to see why it’s wrong to be angry and upset by the deaths of innocents particularly children) for having a negative view of bebe and his cronies. The absolute dehumanizing disdain shown towards Muslims is pretty breath taking. It sounds oddly like how nazis talk about Jews. Curious that. ---

Go and greet the Imam. He’s most likely to be a cool guy. That is what priests do best, after all. Ask hm if you can join for Eid al Fitr (probably April 9 this year) It is like Thanksgiving, but more lamb, and in my opinion more generosity. Chances are he’ll say yes. Go. Learn. Meet Muslim people. I guess that last phrase is actually the best answer: meet more Muslim people. ---

This isn’t from FOX news, this is from a friend who’s lived in Paris for decades. I have also heard this from a former FBI agent who works in intelligence now. They tell the same details, which have described without exaggeration or hyperbole. ---

I’m fairly certain the no-go zones nonsense has been posted on this site a number of times before and, of course, the SDMB community, holding true to its mission of eradicating ignorance, has debunked it every time. ---

It is entirely possible that he does have these friends who said these things, and they might have actually believed them. There is no shortage of Islamophobes in Paris or in the FBI. But should these people exist, the probability that either of them know what they are talking about is about nil. ---

There was a camera crew that went into one of the ‘no-go’ zones to debunk the idea. They were attacked, and had to flee. These zones exist. No, there aren’t any ‘official’ no go zones where Sharia Law is the only law, so far as I know. But there are plenty of ‘no go zones’ where obviously non-Muslim people risk being attacked if they go there, as the purity of the area as a Muslim enclave is enforced by angry, unassimilated young people. ---
