In [this](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showpost.php?p=10566421&postcount=11) post in [this](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?t=497233) thread I listed what is in my medicine drawer. This made me think, what is in everyone elses drawer?

So, what do you have in your medicine drawer/cabinet/shelf/etc?

To start it off, here is what I said in that thread:

> [@](#):
>
> Right now in my medicine drawer, I have:
> Diphenhydramine 25mg tablets (Antihistamine) I use this when I get sick, and as a sleep aid.
> Pseudoephedrine 30mg tablets (decongestant)
> Guaifenesin 400mg tablets (Expectorant)
> Guaifenesin 400mg/Dextromethorphan 20mg tablets (Expectorant and OTC cough suppressant)
> Acetaminophen 500mg tablets (pain/fever reducer) - I hardly use this, since I drink a decent amount.
> Ibuprofen 200mg softgels (NSAID pain reducer) - My pain pill of choice
> Caffeine 200mg tablets (Stimulant, Hey! I’m in PHARMACY SCHOOL!)
> Plus a bottle of Cheratussin AC codeine 10mg/100mg Guaifenesin per 5ml. It is a 4oz (118ml) bottle. In Georgia this is legal to sell over the counter, if you have someone to order and sell it to you. This is for a REALLY bad cough. Nothing works better then codeine.

I also have an earthquake emergency kit which has:
[ul]
[li]Gauze, tape, plasters[/li][li]Small splints[/li][li]Cold and hot compresses[/li][li]Antiseptic wipes[/li][li]Antibiotic ointment[/li][li]Burn spray[/li][li]Eye washing fluid[/li][li]Asprin, naproxen sodium, ibuprofen[/li][li]Calcium carbonate (antacids)[/li][li]Antihistamine spray[/li][li]Insect repellent[/li][li]Hand-powered lantern[/li][/ul]

Oh, god, I don’t think I could come up with a comprehensive list. I have over a hundred medicinal essential oils alone! How about the most oft’ used?

My son’s herbal tonics (2 - one for several times a day and one for bedtime)
Adult Multivitamins (3 of us share 1 bottle)
Kids Chewable Multi
Herbal Sore Throat Spray
Lemon Balm extract
Herbal Cough Syrup
Anti-viral/Antibacterial herbal extract (ech, goldenseal, thyme, garlic, I don’t remember what else)
Anti-diarrheal herbal formula (blackberry and cinnamon)
Diuretic herbal formula (dandelion leaf, other stuff)
Nettles capsules\*
Milk Thistle capsules\*
Sinatol capsules (herbal sinus formula)\*
Lavender essential oil
Rosemary essential oil
Peppermint essential oil
All-purpose herbal salve (chickweed, calendula, chamomile, lavender, etc.)
Aleve
Acetaminophen
Ibuprofen
Imodium A-D (for when we have “hot” diarrhea and the herbal stuff won’t help)
Some crappy ass decongestant which doesn’t work.
Some crappy ass antihistamine which doesn’t work.
Claritin
Delsym
Antifungal Creme (I don’t even know where that came from!)
Bandages, butterfly bandages, gauze, tape, scissors, alcohol swaps, Superglue, all in the First Aid Kit. (No, I’m not kidding. I Superglued my toddler’s forehead together when she split it open on a table corner. Don’t tell her grandmother, okay?)
\*these are commercial; all other herbal remedies I made.
