# What is Kevin Eubanks' yearly salary?

Anyone know how much he gets paid a year? As a bassist, I’ve always been interested in knowing what these late night band members make.

I can’t answer your question but John Melendez, Jay Leno’s ‘announcer’ pulls in $500K for basically doing nothing.
This has been well documented on the Howard Stern show. So that’s a starting point salary-wise. I’m sure Eubanks makes more than ‘Stuttering John’. Plus, hasn’t he had a couple of albums err…CDs?

Eubanks has [12 albums](http://allmusic.com/cg/amg.dll?p=amg&sql=11:mfuvad5kv8w3~T2), and has appeared on maybe fifty more as a session player or his regular gigs with other bands. I believe he also has done movie scores, including Men in Black.
My point is that his stint on the Tonight Show has done a lot to increase his public stature and notoriety, and has undoubtedly fueled both sales of past records and helped him to land lucrative gigs.
