Yeah, I know, I didn’t say it was a very logical opinion. I mean, It’s more cognitive self-defense (and perhaps a rather absurd immature one) than anything else: i.e., disbelief in love could be the default, but suspended when love creates happiness, and retained when it causes pain. But of course, that’s a ridiculously optimistic view, since people in love endure pain because of the happiness love brings them. ---
