# What is Mark Teixeira's problem?

Seriously bud, hit the ball. Take some more batting practice, get some more time in the cage. It shouldn’t be too hard. Vegas is taking wagers on whether you’ll climb past the Mendoza line this year :mad:

Even by his standards, he’s _well_ below the mark.

He’s a career .238 hitter in April. He’s batting .133 after today.  
Normally slugs .417 in April. Today he’s at .257.

About the only pace he is keeping up with is strikeouts 😃

It’s a fluke.

He looks a bit tentative up there but he’ll get a few hits and turn it around.

A .137 BABIP (batting average on balls in play) is ridiculously low. He’ll get better.
