My friends son has a Po (the red one. I think that is her name) anyway it says something like “Faggot Faggot Faggot.” I know it isn’t saying this. What is is saying? ---

Actually, it is “faggot, faggot, faggot,” and she is just baiting Tinky Winky. Those telebubbies can be really viscious to each other. ---

Bowen LOVES his “tubbies”. Po is red (she’s the smallest of the Teletubbies) Laa-Laa is yellow (she’s the second smallest) Dipsy is green (he’s the second tallest) Tinky-Winky is purple (he’s the tallest Teletubbie) Despite Tinky-Winky’s color, triangle head thing, penchant for purses (sorry–BAGS) and pink tutus, I maintain my stance that NO Teletubbie can be gay. Maybe he’s just a little mixed-up… you know, what with not having parents to look after him and his siblings. ## FWIW, I have no idea what the Po doll is “really” saying. My son has them all and loves them. He has the pre-recall ones too. I have been told it is some British thing and he is saying “fad dot fad dot”. It really annoys me when people ruin things like this and especially for children. Ingredients: Ignorance with a dash of bible-banging bullshit. ---

When Po putters along on her scooter, it sounds to me that she’s saying “Pottie, Pottie, Pottie.” And yep, if you’re not a Teletubbies watcher, she and La-La are the gals–such as they are. ---

Sigh. She is saying “faster, faster, slower, slower” in Cantonese. The person who inhabits the Po costume is Chinese and wanted the toy to have one phrase in her native language. Phonetically it is something like “Fah dit, Fah dit, ma ma man.” It’s what Po says when she is riding on her scooter. (My daughter has one and thinks she is saying “Pottie, Pottie.”) ---
